The Töölö Cigar Shop is also a gift shop with a wide choice of Finnish knives and fishing lures. Collectors might be tempted by our fine selection of antique pipes. For music lovers, we stock recordings of the Finnish composer, Jean Sibelius. But we are also a coffee store! We offer premium-grade coffee beans, which we buy directly from plantations in South America and Africa, ensuring both quality for the connoisseur and just profits for the growers.

Finally, the shop serves as a small photographic gallery, displaying modern and historic black and white photographs. Cigar-smoking came into vogue during the 19th century in Finland, as elsewhere in Europe. Finns smoked only imported cigars until the early 1840's, when cigar manufacturing began in Finland. Rollers worked at the Helsinki-based Borgström, Tollander and Klärich, and G.O. Wasenius tobacco factories. The Rettig tobacco factory opened in Turku; Strengberg of Pietarsaari began rolling in 1850 and continued until the 1990's. Today, premium and machine rolled cigars are rolled at the J. Sundqvist manufacturers at Parainen on the edge of the Finnish archipelago.
